New Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) at Paz Ashdod Refinery – Enhancing Refining Efficiency

Ludan Engineering Israel, in collaboration with Ludan Israel and Ludan Romania, is leading the engineering design for the construction of a new Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) at Paz Ashdod Refinery. This project aims to upgrade and optimize sulfur processing in the refining industry by replacing the existing unit with advanced technology provided by Wood (Amec Foster Wheeler) and Compimo.

As part of the project, Ludan Engineering Israel was entrusted with the FEED review, detailed design, and overall design management, dealing with over 1,000 pipeline connections and hundreds of equipment units sourced from around the world.

Ludan Romania played a key role in multiple aspects of the project, delivering complex engineering solutions to enhance execution efficiency.

Project Scope:

Multidisciplinary Detailed Design – Including process design, piping, civil engineering, and instrumentation.
FEED Review – Ensuring compliance with client requirements and international standards.
Design Management – Coordinating hundreds of equipment components from global suppliers.
Integration of Advanced Technologies (Wood & Compimo) – Improving sulfur recovery processes and operational efficiency.

Through cutting-edge technology and multidisciplinary engineering expertise, Paz Ashdod Refinery is enhancing sulfur processing efficiency, meeting stringent environmental regulations, and optimizing refining operations.
