First Cogeneration Power Plant at Paz Ashdod Refinery
Ludan Engineering Israel led the design, management, and construction of the first cogeneration power plant at Paz Ashdod Refinery, providing 44 MW of electricity and 90 tons of steam per hour, significantly improving the energy and operational efficiency of the facility.
The project features an advanced Rolls-Royce DLE 44 MW gas turbine, coupled with a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) that produces 90 tons of steam per hour, including a superheater to support the refinery’s production processes. This combination allows for reduced energy consumption, efficient resource utilization, and lower pollutant emissions.
Project Scope:
✅ Full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) – Design, procurement, construction, and full project management.
✅ Integration of Rolls-Royce DLE Gas Turbine – Advanced solution for efficient and cleaner electricity generation.
✅ Design and Installation of HRSG – To enhance overall energy output.
✅ Energy Efficiency Improvement – Reducing operational costs and optimizing resource use.
Through this project, Paz Ashdod upgraded its energy capabilities, saved operational costs, and reduced its carbon footprint, contributing to the global trend of cleaner and more efficient energy use.
