Design of a Wastewater Treatment Facility for MOL Polyol Plant
KH Engineering, in collaboration with Aqwise, led the multidisciplinary design of a new wastewater treatment facility for the MOL Polyol plant in Hungary, utilizing innovative technology to reduce pollution and improve environmental quality.
The project included the complete design of an advanced facility for industrial wastewater treatment, based on Aqwise’s unique technology. The plant was developed as part of the construction of MOL’s new industrial complex, being built by Thyssenkrupp Germany, and incorporates advanced processes for water purification and treatment for reuse or safe discharge into the environment, in compliance with stringent quality standards.
Project Scope:
✅ Multidisciplinary Detailed Design – Including process design, piping, civil engineering, electrical, and instrumentation.
✅ Implementation of Aqwise Technology for Wastewater Treatment – To enhance system performance and reduce pollutants.
✅ International Collaboration – Design for Aqwise Israel and project oversight by Thyssenkrupp Germany for MOL.
✅ Compliance with Strict Environmental Standards – Supporting the sustainability policies of the chemical industry in Europe.
Through a combination of precise engineering and innovative technologies, this facility will help the MOL Polyol plant reduce its environmental footprint, meet regulatory requirements, and operate efficiently and economically over time.
