Expansion of the Mymensingh Power Plant – Enhancing Energy Efficiency and Production Capacity
KH Engineering is leading the engineering design for the expansion of the Mymensingh Power Plant in Bangladesh, integrating cutting-edge technological solutions to enhance energy efficiency and increase power generation capacity.
The existing 145MW power plant, equipped with four gas turbines, is undergoing a major upgrade, including the installation of:
✅ Four Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs)
✅ A steam turbine
✅ Air-cooled condensers (ACC)
✅ Additional supporting infrastructure, such as a water treatment facility and air compressor system
Following this upgrade, the plant’s generation capacity will increase to 210MW, improving operational efficiency and energy utilization.
Project Scope:
✅ Interface Engineering – Detailed system integration to connect independently purchased package units.
✅ High-Pressure Piping Design – Incorporation of advanced steam transmission systems.
✅ Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) – Comprehensive system planning to ensure seamless integration.
✅ Infrastructure Upgrades & Support Facilities – Including pipe bridges, electrical connections for motors, and new equipment for auxiliary systems.
Through advanced engineering solutions and close collaboration with Siemens, KH Engineering ensures smart and efficient integration of new systems into the power plant, ensuring stable and reliable electricity supply in Bangladesh.
