CEO Willem Pronk will transfer his position at KH Engineering and SMART AIS to his successor Marc Steigenga with effect from 3 April 2023. Upon reaching retirement age, Willem – who served as CEO for six years – will continue in an advisory role from within the group.
The next weeks and months will be focused on handing over and providing further direction to the business plan as well as the strategic objectives it sets out. ‘Marc knows the business and is very aware of the changes in the market. Having him as CEO will therefore strengthen the dynamic engineering firm KH Engineering and Smart AIS on all fronts,’ says Willem.
‘It is great that Willem will remain active for KH Engineering in an advisory role this year,’ Marc points out. ‘But first and foremost, I would like to thank Willem for the growth and stability he has achieved as CEO for our company. We have really enjoyed working together since I started working at KH Engineering. My ambition for KH Engineering is to build a sustainable world with care and attention for people, the market, and the environment’.
Growth
Driven by growth, innovation, and high-quality technical engineering services for the industrial and public markets, KH Engineering has been able to strengthen its position in recent years. Our company has posted considerable growth in recent years not only in terms of volume, but certainly also in terms of knowledge and expertise. At the same time, however, we have managed to maintain our recognisable culture and core values.
Innovation
We can be very satisfied with our innovations, which we are eager to develop further at our companies. Our engineers help industrial clients to achieve their climate goals. We develop solutions for saving energy, switching to renewable fuels and raw materials, reducing CO2 emissions, and making new products based on recycling. These services are what we will need to respond to our clients’ future requirements.
The future
Our knowledge, experience, and technology enable us to offer innovative and sustainable solutions. We are keen to help our industrial clients complete their energy transition. We do this by working closely with them on a transition roadmap and implementing concepts in practice following a project-led approach. ‘Turning creative ideas into practical solutions is our way of building a sustainable world,’ says Marc. ‘Our approach ranges from conceptual issues right up to the complete preparation and supervision of industrial projects.’ This tangible implementation enables us to achieve ambitious goals together with our clients.
